JAIPUR, July 24, 2026 — The ninth edition of the WEAA India Awards will be held at Hotel Grand Safari in Jaipur on Sunday, July 26, according to an invitation issued by the organisers. The ceremony is scheduled from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and organisers say 21 women will be felicitated for work in startup and entrepreneurship categories.

The date coincides with Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed annually on July 26 to mark the conclusion of the 1999 Kargil conflict. The organisers have said this year's edition is themed "Shakti aur Shaurya" and dedicated to that occasion.

The awards are positioned as a recognition platform for women working in fields including entrepreneurship, leadership, education, social service, art, and culture. The letter states that honourees this year have been drawn from among women with roughly 10 to 12 years of work in their respective fields.

The organisers say more than 1,000 nominations were received nationally for this season and that the shortlist of 21 was arrived at through a jury process. 

The organisers' Season 9 presentation lists three award streams: Entrepreneurs and Brands, covering categories such as Woman Startup of the Year and Woman Business Leader; Leaders and Achievers, covering Woman Achiever of the Year and Woman Rising Star; and Impact and Inspiration, covering Woman with Social Impact and Woman Motivational Icon.

Nominations, according to the same document, are open to peers and colleagues, companies, non-governmental organisations, educational institutions, and members of the public. Self-nominations are also accepted and, the document states, encouraged.

The WEAA platform has operated in Jaipur since at least 2016. The organisers' presentation states that eight seasons have been completed to date, with editions held in Jaipur, Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi, as well as at overseas venues. These figures are as supplied by the organisers and have not been audited by Sangri Today.

The award falls within a growing circuit of privately organised recognition events in Jaipur. Several similar ceremonies have been held in the city over the past year, including wedding and lifestyle industry awards and regional pageant finales.
