New Delhi [India], November 22: The 2^nd edition of the annual Cinematica Expo concluded on 17^th November, 2024 after an eventful two days at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Hyderabad, Telangana. The prestigious event was held in association with and as part of IndiaJoy and was supported by the Government of Telangana, Telangana VFX, Animation and Gaming Association (TVAGA) and Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India. The gala event was presented by Sony and was powered by Zeiss.

On 16^th November, Cinematica Expo 2024 was kickstarted with a formal inauguration by the legendary filmmaker Mr. Ram Gopal Varma and fiery director Mr Sandeep Raddy Vanga. The Secretary, MeitY, Govt. of India Mr. S. Krishnan, Special Chief Secretary, IT and Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Telangana Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Acclaimed cinematographer Mr K. K. Senthil Kumar and the Cinematica Expo founder and noted cinematographer Mr. P. G. Vinda were also present at the inaugural.

The two-day event witnessed the participation of who’s who of Indian cinema starting from the legendary to the debutant filmmakers who mesmerised the audiences with compelling stories and innovative adaptation of technology to tell those stories. The landmark event which rose incrementally in size and number from its inaugural edition in 2023 saw the synergy of technology, creativity, and cinematic brilliance. The iconic event brought together top industry experts, visionaries, and film enthusiasts and provided a platform for discussions, masterclasses, and recognition of exceptional contributions to the world of cinema.  On the other hand, the Expo also had a captivating exhibition of state-of-the-art filmmaking products and services from marquee national and international brands. The Cinematica Expo started on a grand scale with a fire-side chat session involving Ram Gopal Varma and Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The two directors elaborated on how they broke the rules and boundaries in storytelling. The supercharged crowd responded with hoots and whistles to every point the two directors have made.

In exclusive Clapback sessions, Cinematic Expo brought on to the stage renowned cinematographer Mr. Sudeep Chatterjee of Chak De India, Padmavat fame, interacting with noted cinematographers, including Rasool Yellore, Venkat C Dilip. The deliberations took the enthusiastic and aspiring filmmakers through the nitty-gritty of cinematography. Later, in another house-filled-to-the-brim session, celebrated cinematographer Mr. K.K. Senthil Kumar answered questions shot by veteran cinematographer and moderator Mr. M.V. Raghu. The session enthralled the audience as the Bahubali and RRR cinematographer shared finer details on how these visual epics were crafted and broadly on how visual storytelling has to be achieved.

Cinematica Expo 2^nd edition also saw the participation of renowned writer and Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha Mr. Vijayendra Prasad, acclaimed & tech-savvy producer Mr. Suresh Babu. Celebrated film director Mr. Indraganti Mohana Krishna shed light for the audience on the theme of ‘Adapting Literature into Screenplays: Challenges and Opportunities’. He emphasised the importance of reading classical literature to make great films. Veteran cinematographer Mr. M.V. Raghu moderated the discussion on the topic ‘The Evolving Eye of Cinematography’ with young and promising cinematographers including Mr. Shivendra Dhasharathi, and Mr. Nagesh Banell.

Mr. Jagdeesh Bommisetti enriched the knowledge of aspiring filmmakers on the topic of ‘Virtual Production: On-Set Scenarios’. The session provided a glimpse into the future of production design with emphasis on virtual production. Renowned screenwriter Mr. Satyanshu Singh took a Masterclass ‘Writing the Right Way’ and equipped the aspiring writers with tools to master the art of screenwriting. A panel discussion moderated by Mr. Sheetal Kiran Peta took the audience through to understand how OTTs are shaping the future of entertainment.

Mr. Ramana Vanka moderated a session on ‘The Power of Visuals: Exploring the World of Film Art Direction’ which was attended by noted art directors Mr. Rajeevan, Mr. A.S. Prakesh, Mr. Nagendra Tangala, Mr. Rajeev Nayar, among others.

‘Visual Storytellers’, a souvenir book meticulously curated as a tribute to the maestros of Indian cinematography, was presented to various trailblazing cinematographers, pathbreaking directors and other celebrity artists and technicians cutting across 24 crafts of filmmaking who attended the Cinematica Expo.  Sanjeev Tiwary is one actor who always believes in giving his best and the length of the roles doesn’t bother him much. Recently, Sanjeev Tiwary got the opportunity to do a very small part in Netflix’s immensely popular series ‘Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper’ which he  agreed to do as he knew that despite the short length, his part would be noticed and it would be eventually talked about. Sanjeev Tiwary played a small role role named Abdul in the series and left his mark as an actor.

But few know about this very talented actor’s eventful journey. He is the winner of the first acting based reality show ‘Superstar’ which was telecasted on DD Metro two decades back. As a winner he was promised a leading role in a budget Bollywood movie titled ‘Ishq Vishq’ and the promise was made in front of the directors like Hansal Mehta and Milan Luthria who were among the judges of this acting based reality show. It is the same year when actors like Vineet Kumar Singh and Siddharth Jadhav also participated in the show, Sanjeev Tiwary was declared as the winner of the show.

But even after the fiasco, Sanjeev Tiwary didn’t lose heart and kept trying his luck at the movies. Meanwhile, he kept honing his skills and  joined the theatre circuit and started acting in various plays. For more than 20 years, he worked with theatre stalwarts like Pandit Satyadev Dubey, Sagar Sarhadi and Piyush Mishra. Later, he got the opportunity to play the lead role in a film titled ‘Chausar’ which was directed by his long time associate Sagar Sarhadi. The film also starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Amruta Subhash in prominent roles. Sadly, even though the film was completed, it couldn’t be released in cinemas. Then, he got another prominent part in the comedy film titled ‘Mera Kya Hoga Lambodar’ which also had Pavan Malhotra in a pivotal role but this time the film couldn’t get completed and once again Sanjeev Tiwary was left stranded with his Bollywood dreams.

In such a scenario, he kept going and worked in many TV shows like ‘CID’, ‘Aahat’, ‘Kagaar’, ‘Haqdaar’ etc in which his work was appreciated. Reminiscing the lost opportunities of showcasing his talent through Bollywood films in the last two decades or so, Sanjeev Tiwary says, “For me things would have been different if after winning the reality show ‘Superstar’ the promise to cast me in a film would have been kept. Later, when my film ‘Chausar’ didn’t get  released, I was heartbroken once again. The lost opportunities in Bollywood cost me so much in life. But I kept going and did theatre and TV to survive and feed my family”.

Today, due to the lack of acting opportunities in Bollywood films, Sanjeev Tiwary, along with his wife, translates English series into Hindi and is also known as a excellent dubbing artist. Bur Sanjeev Tiwary has not given up on his Bollywood dreams. He says, “I am sure a lot of people must have noticed me in ‘Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper’ and I am also sure that sooner or later people are going to recognise my acting abilities. There is no kick like acting in front of the camera.”

Renowned classical vocalist and music director Pt. Bhavdeep Jaipurwale has released his latest ghazal album a heartfelt collaboration with the legendary poet Gulzar and Sumeet Tappoo. This album is a testament to the deep connection between Gulzar's evocative poetry and Jaipurwale's masterful musical compositions. 

Reflecting on the project, Pt. Bhavdeep Jaipurwale shared, "Ghazals have always held a special place in my heart. Collaborating with Gulzar Sahab's poetry allowed me to explore the profound emotions within his verses, bringing them to life through music."

A unique sight was seen on the streets of Jaipur on Thursday. For the first time, hundreds of people were seen in a unique way on Jaipur's main road Gopalpura Road to promote a Rajasthani film and become the voice of Rajasthani language.

The occasion was the march for the Rajasthani film Bharkhama. People participated in this march under the leadership of actor Shravan Sagar and Haryana star Anjali Raghav from Triveni Nagar to Hotel Safari located at Riddhi Siddhi. Amidst the tunes of drums and shehnai, people also raised slogans for Rajasthani language and cinema. Here the band artists showed musical feats and got applause from everyone.

In today’s episode, Rohit struggles with the case files and Kaveri and Sanjay watch him from the office window. Sanjay tells Kaveri that he can guide Rohit through the cases or else Armaan will help him and Rohit will again loose his right. Kaveri agrees but warns him that she hasn’t forgiven him for his mistakes. Later Manisha comes to the outhouse too meet Abhira and suggests that she should focus on her own happiness with Armaan rather than trying to solve everything. Armaan brings a rose for Abhira, but when he sees her expression, he realizes that she knows what happened at the office and he cries while hugging her. To divert his mind, Abhira says she wants to eat Dal Baati and Armaan agrees to prepare it. In the kitchen, Armaan struggles with the dish, and Manisha helps him. Later, Manisha takes Armaan to a surprise planned by Vidya for both Armaan and Abhira. They are surprised to find that Vidya has arranged a photoshoot for them with the photographer who had taken pictures of Vidya and Madhav. After the photoshoot, Armaan and Abhira find the pictures humorously edited in an old-fashioned style but smile for Vidya’s sake. Armaan then plans a dreamy date for Abhira, where they dance and take pictures together. The next day, Abhira notices Aryan, who is badly injured by some bullies. She devises a master plan involving Krish and other cousins.

In the precap, Armaan decides to take revenge with the bullies, and Abhira joins him. When they arrive, the boys try to intimidate the Poddar family members and challenge them to a Kabaddi match. Abhira accepts the challenge.

Actor Rushad Rana, who is currently seen in Mehendi Wala Ghar and will be part of Bollywood movie Ulajh starring Janhvi Kapoor, says that the show has a rather different storyline. He adds that people are already loving it.

“It’s a very niche show with good characters also. The story is about four brothers and I am one of the brothers, who is an NRI. The brothers get separated due to some misunderstandings at a younger age. Some 25 years later our father is instrumental in bringing us together again. All the brothers come back and they try to settle down together. It’s a beautiful story and very well written and audiences are loving it,” he says.

He adds that he owes this opportunity to the exposure he got from Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa. “I owe a lot to Anupamaa for bringing me back in the game. Before Anupamaa, I did some episodics but I wasn’t doing any good shows. But Anupamaa brought me back into people's minds,” he says.

He adds, “My bond with Rajan sir goes back many years back. I worked with him when he was directing Hamare Tumhare. Since then, we have mutually been very fond of each other. Then I did a small cameo for him too. One more thing about my equation with Rajan sir is that I will always be grateful to him for casting me in Anupamaa. That show brought me everything.

Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah’s Pukaar - Dil Se Dil Tak, which is produced under their banner LSD Studios, is keeping the audience hooked with its interesting storyline.

In Friday's episode,Rajeshwari slaps Vedika, but Sagar steps in to support her and stops their grandmother from interfering. Kishore tells Vedika to leave, but Himmat confronts them and slaps her. Sagar tries to hit Himmat, but Digvijay intervenes and stops him.

Rajeshwari accuses Vedika of staying at the puja to steal a necklace and pretending to love Sagar to frame him. She forces Vedika to place her hand on Saraswati’s head and swear she opened the safe. Vedika confesses, shocking everyone. Saraswati scolds Vedika, saying she trusted her like a daughter, and now feels betrayed, telling Vedika to leave with her family.

At that moment, the police arrived. Rajeshwari reveals her plan, accusing Vedika of trying to steal the necklace and escape. The police take Vedika and her family away, while everyone else remains silent. Rajeshwari is pleased with the outcome.
