Three Stages. No Shortcuts.

Every skill module on Ulipsu follows a three-stage structure, and the third stage cannot be skipped.

Students begin with video-based, gamified lessons that deliver real-time feedback as they learn. They then move through game-based evaluations that test genuine understanding rather than rote recall. The third stage is the project: a hands-on challenge in which the student builds something using what they have learned, submits it through the platform, and has it reviewed by their teacher.

What Students Actually Build

Across Ulipsu's 16-plus skill modules, the project briefs are grounded in real-world challenges scaled to the school level. Students in the Data Science module collect datasets, calculate moving averages, and document their findings in structured reports. In the Coding module, more than 15,000 students created games using block-based coding platforms over the past two years, while over 5,000 built interactive storytelling projects combining narrative thinking with code logic.

In the Artificial Intelligence module, more than 3,100 students from higher grades completed Python-based projects, while nearly 6,000 built AI-powered solutions integrating concepts from artificial intelligence and data science. The Entrepreneurship module produced more than 55,000 startup and business concept submissions, alongside thousands of financial simulation and business decision-making projects built around real-world scenarios.

Every submission is recorded on the student's individual Skill Report — a detailed document capturing assessment performance and project completions across every module completed. By the time a student reaches Class 10, their Skill Portfolio is not a list of certificates. It is a documented record of things they have built.

A Certificate That Means Something

Each student who completes a skill module — including its assessed project — receives an internationally accredited certificate co-branded with ISTE, recognised across 127 countries, and STEM.org, trusted in 80 countries. These credentials accumulate into a Skill Portfolio: a verifiable, evidence-backed record of applied learning that travels with the student throughout their academic career.

For school leaders, the Skill Portfolio also addresses a practical priority: NEP 2020, India's National Education Policy, places explicit emphasis on skills-based, experiential learning outcomes. Ulipsu's documented project records give schools a concrete, verifiable way to demonstrate that their students are meeting those goals — not through certificates alone, but through work produced and assessed in the classroom.

"We wanted the certificate to mean something," said Nikhil K B, co-founder and CTO. "A student's Skill Portfolio shows what they built, how they performed in assessments, and certifications aligned with recognised international accreditation standards. That is a very different conversation from a certificate that simply says they watched 12 videos."

Every Student Gets There

When project work is optional, a predictable pattern emerges. Students who complete projects tend to be those who already have engaged parents, self-directed motivation, and time outside school hours to invest. Galgotias University Awarded ₹42 Lakh Research Grant by IIT Bombay to Develop Intelligent Ripeness Detection

Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh) [India] : Galgotias University has secured ₹42 Lakh research grant from IIT Bombay’s Technology Innovation Hub for IoT (TIH-IoT). The funding, awarded under the Technology Development Program, will support the project titled “Development of Intelligent Ripening Detector for Mango and Watermelon.”

TIH-IoT is a not-for-profit Section 8 company established at IIT Bombay. It operates under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems, an initiative implemented by the Department of Science and Technology , Government of India.

The focus of the project is to develop a cost-effective, portable, and intelligent ripening detection system which can identify ripening stages and detect artificial ripening in different species of mango and watermelon. Dr. Agniv Tapadar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering at Galgotias University, is the Principal Investigator of the project.

The intelligent system will use a novel sensor-based approach and intrinsic impedance sensing that will be able to analyse the internal features of the fruits without causing any external damage to them. With this study, researchers will be able to efficiently assess fruit quality across different growth stages.

Dr. Agniv Tapadar, faculty said that University always supports interdisciplinary innovation at the intersection of agriculture, sensing technologies, and intelligent systems. This project also aligns with the goals of the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems.

Since the launch of this healthcare initiative in September 2024, the latest 5th phase has successfully been completed by benefitting over 5000 students. The campaign was rolled out in 13 government schools in tribal-dominated Kalahandi district of Odisha.

New Delhi [India] October 28: KIET Group of institutions, successfully organized the Hackathon Phase 2 of IEEE Sustainable Solutions for Humanity 2024 on 21^st & 22^nd October 2024. This 24-hour hackathon was a collaborative initiative by IEEE Region 10 and IEEE India Council to provide a prestigious platform for tech-savvy students across the sections of Asia and the Pacific. Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the largest technical professional organization in the world that is dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.

A total of 210 teams participated in the first Phase (held online), of which, 51 teams (149 students – 87 boys & 62 girl students) from 10 states/sections of IEEE and 32 institutes of the country attended the second Phase of this hackathon. This event gave an opportunity to the tech enthusiasts to form inter-college teams, with one female member in each of them. Sponsored by TBI-KIET and IEEE Region 10, this event encouraged the participants to find innovative solutions to the real-world problem statements on 8 tracks pertaining to Education, AR/VR, Environment, Generative AI, Green Energy, Healthcare, Open Innovation, and Blockchain.

The inaugural of the Phase 2 began with the welcome of the guests and lamp lighting ceremony, in the presence of the Guest of Honor, Dr. Prerna Gaur (IEEE India Council Chair Elect & Director NSUT), Mr. Deepak Mathur (IEEE MGA Vice President), Dr. Debabrata Das (IEEE India Council Chair & Director, IIIT Bangalore), Shri Sarish Agarwal, Chairman-KIET, Dr. Preeti Bajaj, Director General-KIET, Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director-KIET.

The hackathon concluded with the valedictory ceremony on 22^nd October, wherein Mr. Praveen Roy, (Head TTI/ Scientist ‘G’, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India) was invited as the Chief Guest. He shared, “DST has been supporting startups and innovators since more than 2 decades now. In this era, government and institutes numerous opportunities for funding and startups, therefore, this is the right time to be an entrepreneur. The learning gained through this hackathon will help in your capacity building in the near future. During this hackathon, you might have learned about team building, problem solving and a targeted approach. Throughout the hackathon, the participants were mentored by faculty coordinators, providing invaluable guidance and industry insights. They worked for 24 hours on respective problem statements and showcased their prototype/solution before distinguished jury panel.

There were 5 different categories, viz. Best Solution, Best Coding, Best Design, Best Innovation and Overall Winner, under which, the winners were announced. Team MirazeX from Trident Academy of Technology, Odisha bagged award under Overall Winning, Best Coding, and Best Solution categories for Green Energy track/problem statement. Team Zen from INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE (IISC), Bangalore Karnataka bagged award under Best Innovation and Best Coding categories for AR/VR track/problem statement. Team Suryamukhi from KIET Group of Institutions, Uttar Pradesh bagged award under Best Design category for Green Energy track/problem statement.
